Nikki's on the green is a charming restaurant and banquet facility
set on the Hollywood Beach Golf and Country club golf course located
on Johnson Street, just east of Federal Highway in Hollywood. The
full service restaurant is neatly tucked away in the clubhouse,
but once people find it, they are enamored and keep coming back.
Here is a truly charming oasis that is a favorite spot for breakfast,
lunch, and dinner. Seating is indoors and on the balcony overlooking
a lovely pond.
The restaurant features a comfortable bar and lounge-like dining
area. Then, there is the treasure – a perfectly elegant banquet
hall spacious enough to hold 175 guests. It is positively ideal
for special events and festive occasions, such as holiday parties,
weddings, anniversaries, Bar and Bat Mitzvah parties, baptisms,
and Sweet Sixteen celebrations. The banquet room overlooks an illuminated
lake fountain off of the 17th Fairway with scenic views of palm
trees and greens.
The breakfast and lunch set enjoys the food and the nature setting,
so beautiful and peaceful. Among the diners are golfers, neighborhood
residents, and guests staying at the 30-room Hollywood Beach Country
Club hotel quarters.
Management
Since September, Gina and Vic Ilic, veterans in the restaurant business,
have operated Nikki On The Green. Following 30 years in New Jersey,
the Ilics relocated to Florida to be semi-retired, but found they
missed the fun of running restaurants. Gina says, “Since
we took over, we are energizing the place with special events and
banquets. Not a week goes by without parties and occasions.”
The Hollywood Beach Golf & Country Club is under the direction
of David Lottes, vice president of Southern Golf Appraisals, which
operates the course. “It is the most unique setting in Hollywood,
only 1.3 miles from the beach,” says Chuck Stone, director
of golf. “There are 120 acres of lovely seclusion.”
Built in 1923 by famed golf course architect Donald Ross, the golf
course is open to the public. It is located in one of the city’s
nicest and quietest neighborhoods.
